6/10I went for a carvery with my mother and brother to celebrate my birthday and booked a table for 2 30pm. Upon arrival we were shown to a table by a very pleasant young lady who took a drinks order. My beer tasted sour as if the lines had not been cleaned recently so no point in asking it to be changed for the same again. We approached the carvery and a customer was handing a ticket over for his meal, we had no such ticket so I had to leave to find a waitress who said they were for outside customers only. I selected Turkey and pork which were both very dry and in short supply, the vegetables were overcooked and sat in water and I had to search for where the condiments and gravy were..on a table 10 foot away. The gravy was thick and lumpy but moistened the meat. On the whole improvements could be made and so it's only an average score,

6.5/10I had the carvery and the meat choice and quality was excellent ,the vegetables less so in terms of quality. The roast potatoes were not tasty ,not crispy although they looked good. The Yorkshire pudding was too big and tough to cut through./ The peas were hard and the cabbage toiugh. Gravy was nice.IO had a pint of bitter which I didn't think was particularly well kept

10/10Service very good, staff very friendly and attentive - but not at all intrusive. Carvery has a good selection of meats and some unusual vegetable sides. I was a bit overwhelmed by the portion size and feel it would be beneficial to offer a smaller carvery option for the smaller appetites.

10/10We have been real fans of the Legh Arms for many years. Not only do we enjoy our lunches but also the wonderful breakfasts. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient and this really adds to what we often describe as a good time out. Thank you very much. Ray Bowers
