Are you in Portugal searching for a great cod fish? This is the place to eat. The best cod fish ever. This is a word from a couple who ate in many Portuguese restaurants and also London, D.Republic, Colombia, N.Zealand, Italia, etc etc. Ask for "Bacalhau da Toca" is something like Cod Fish specialty from the house. 5 star, you will not regret!

Everything was just great and for the first time in Toca do Bacalhau, I was surprised by the service. To begin with, while booking, I asked them (just for fun in the special request area) for a really nice meal to surprise my wife. And sure they did! They offered a really nice flower to my wife that was in the table when we arrived, and they also offered a bottle of champagne as courtesy. Really nice touch, and I'm really grateful for that. The food was just great and the staff was really nice and very helpful. For sure we will return, and I just want to thank them for giving my wife a really nice dinner :)

Restaurant looks unassuming from outside as tucked down a little alley. However inside it is very cosy. We were welcomed and shown upstairs. Waitress very attentive and charming. Food wonderful. One of the best steaks my husband has eaten and cooked to perfection. My cod was moist and delicious. Wine excellent value. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
