9/10The service was fabulous, and the food and house wine were great. I deducted one star and gave it a 9/10 because my lobster linguine didn't have much lobster. Since the meal had a half lobster shell, I expected to get at least half a lobster tail. My dinner mate, who ordered the same dish had several visible bits of lobster (in comparison) on their plate. The meal was still tasty, and the lobster claw was provided, so I cracked it open and ate the meat in it.

10/10We seldom go back to the same place twice during our travels. But we surely did here and would go again. The food was excellent. And the service, ambience, etc. were equally fine. The building itself, and its history were unexpected pluses.

9.5/10Quaint, open and airy…this restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but very close to the Pitti Palace/Boboli Gardens, and not too far from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Excellent food, great service, and one of the best desserts I’ve ever had (“cheesecake”). Nice ambience/quiet and calming

10/10We visited Toscanelli a week ago and provided a review at that time. Clearly we were very impressed and decided to revisit. Always a challenge ( first impressions! ) . We were so pleased at our decision with so many restaurants to chose from in Florence. Our meal was as satisfying as we remembered previously. We chose fish ( of course ) and it was beautifully cooked and presented, so fresh and perfectly cooked . Side dishes complemented the main . Wine selection was superb . The dolce did not disappoint, a deconstructed cheesecake. We left totally satisfied and will add Toscanelli to the top of our list when we return to Florence next year. Skip the line at Florence’s popular eateries such as Il santo Bevitore and Zeb and head to Toscanelli Trattoria di mare . You won’t be disappointed.

7.5/10it is hard to find in Florence a "non touristic" restaurant . Toscanelli is ! well set restaurant in a cosy non crowder ambiance with good quality food just next to Pitti Palace.

9.5/10Top quality restaurant. Very fresh unadulterated food beautifully prepared and presented. Focus is on fish and seafood but pasta dishes and open grilled steak available. My wife and I stayed with the fish which was delicious as was the pasta . Vegetables were served in ratatouille style and potatoes lightly brazed . Our sweet was a deconstructed tiramisu made at the table . A nice touch . Wine was of good quality with a very extensive wine list .

10/10Impeccably prepared and presented. Florence has wonderful restaurants but if you want to treat yourself to the next level, come here. They also have a pianist who is a music professor, what a treat!

10/10Great service in a great looking location. The food was great and they served warm bread throughout dinner. We ordered the house wine and it was good. With the applied discount it was fabulous! Will definitely come back again.

8.5/10We enjoyed the history behind this restaurant and its building. Their homemade pastas were a delight and were quite delicious. An interesting menu item was the Tuscan Onion Soup with almonds - although it was a nice concept, we were a little disappointed that there was not more of an onion intensity to the soup.

10/10We ate at this restaurant the first Sunday we were in Italy and it was so good, we chose it for our last dinner. The pasta, the bistecca, grilled vegetables and red wine were simply outstanding. Good quality food, well prepared and presented. The service is top notch; informative, responsive, but not intrusive. Highly recommend!
