Decent food, service and prices. Just nothing special. I can’t understand how this restaurant is rated #1/20 in castelmola. Really disappointing...
Had a lovely meal at this restaurant. Incredibly generous with the portions and worth way more than the set menu price.
A very interesting drive to the restaurant as you go right up the windy roads through Taormina and up - family run very traditional taverna .. they offer you a fish Taster menu where they bring as you eat .. from marinated prawns and sword fish to homemade pasta in deliscious tomato basil sauce to grilled prawns tuna steak and a whole sea bass fried in butter - or a meat equivalent is available .. 40 euros a head .. good value - but too much food if honest Whatch our for the drive down - it’s as steep And windy as the drive Up !
Really nice dinner. Food was delicious, service impeccable, and the view from the terrace is gorgeous. The dinner consists of a set menu of typical Sicilian food. You can taste all is made with quality ingredients and prepared with art and skill.

Alberto was a wonderful host. Welcoming and took time to explain all the food. The food was excellent, very tasty and local. Each plate was perfectly presented and tasted as good as it looked. His wife was the creative chef. I highly recommend the food and service and will return to enjoy the experience again.

Il ristorante Chicchirichì nasce nel 1973 dall’idea del sig. Giuseppe Grasso, con lo scopo di realizzare un ristorante dedicato alla cucina casalinga.
Il sig. Giuseppe all’epoca aveva già maturato un’esperienza lavorativa ventennale come cameriere di sala prima e come cuoco dopo presso i ristoranti della provincia di Messina. Inoltre, da giovane prestò la sua professionalità presso la villa di un nobile inglese occupandosi della gestione della cucina: dall’acquisto dei prodotti, al supporto ai cuochi in cucina, fino al servizio di sala insieme ai camerieri.L’insieme di queste esperienze lavorative, maturò nel sig. Giuseppe il desiderio di realizzare la sua trattoria. Desiderio che si concretizzo nel 1973 con l’apertura della trattoria Chicchirichì.
Il nome della trattoria, fu scelto casualmente una mattina, quando il sig. Giuseppe tornando a casa, sentì cantare con inconfondibile forza un gallo: da qui, nacque l’idea di chiamare il ristorante "Chicchirichì".
