The restaurant is stunning, gorgeous views, great vibe and the staff are all very attentive and friendly. The food was sadly very disappointing...everything was overly greasy and oily. My tiger prawns were overcooked, incredibly tough to eat and also overpriced. My friend ordered steak and it arrived with the most greasy potatoes and vegetables I've ever seen

Yesterday we had lunch at UM to enjoy good food and a cool afternoon. After a smooth check in, we got our table directly at the window front with a nice view. The location looks nice, even the interior looks partially a bit won out. Second impression was that the place was almost empty, no music was playing at the pool and restaurant area, it felt kind of dead in the place and the friendly waiter told us that the music equipment was broken. As there was no Beach Club feeling at all, we decided to order just a few tapas and drinks. Waiting time was ok, but all in all the taste was comparing to the upscale price of the dishes (bread/garlic majonnaise, calamari rings, Sashimi, Tataki, Potato wedges) to high, A score of 5 is basically to high for the experience we had, but if UM would do their homework (music / sun bed prices are too high for a pool area without access to the beach) it could be a pretty cool place.

They have been prohibited to play music. When booking the beach bed and lunch table they didn’t inform us of that. Extremely disingenuous. Would even call it an outright scam. Once in the place they didn’t acknowledge or offer any form of compensation or extra service for the lack of music.

Arrived early for our reservation and hostess directed us to comfy seat waiting area. 10 mins after reservation time our server seated us at a nice table by the window and was very chatty. Took drinks orders and forgot one of them which was rectified fairly quickly. We asked for bread and olives and oredered our main courses. Having been seated for 30-40 minutes we asked where bread and olives was, this was then delivered instantly and was good quality. Main courses arrived 45-50 minutes after we'd been seated, missing one main. Server asked if I'd like some paella (that others had ordered) while my main course was being cooked. After everyone else had finished and my side dishes were cold, server returned to ask if we needed anything else as the kitchen was closing. I asked where my main course was. 'Oops'. Server was most apologetic, 'sorry it's too late now' and offered us free coffees. He didn't hang around to give us the bill/wait for a tip. Manager came over with the bill and asked if all was ok. We explained what had happened and he asked why we didn't say something. Er, well, we had. At each stage, something we ordered was missing (cocktail, bread, one main) and yes, we did mention it. I wasn't expecting the manager to make us feel like it was our fault. We left with mild amusement at what a 'style over substance' experience we'd had. Those familiar with Fawlty Towers would find it similar. The difference between Um and Fawlty is that Um is a nice setting with pretty decor and pretty people in the beach club to watch.

Save you money! This was the most disappointing meal we had all holiday, the food taste was awful and very expensive. The interiors and staff were lovely but definitely don’t go here for food.

Hacia tiempo que queríamos ir a este restaurante y la verdad que no nos defraudó, la atención de 20, todo el servicio muy simpático y atento con nosotros y la comida fué espectacular. Un lugar privilegiado, nos faltó solo poder refrescarnos en la piscina. Volveremos segurísimo.
