The main course T-bone steak was tough, undercooked and underseasoned. The salad bar was quite average and unsuitable for price fix five course Christmas dinner. When we arrived the host initially sat us in a service area right next to the salad bar and dessert station. Ours was the only table in this section. The host seemed upset that we would ask to be moved, but he reluctantly obliged our request. The starter (sardines, meats and cheese) was fine but big enough to be a meal in itself. Our waiter forgot to bring appetizer plates so we ate this first course using our bread plates. The second course, cauliflower soup with chestnuts, was the best dish of the meal. The desserts were also good, but this and the soup weren't enough to save the experience. The staff seemed harried and overwhelmed throughout the meal. I would not come here again.

Very confusing on entrance to the hotel (restaurant) when collecting coats and getting directed to our table. We stood around for a good 10 minutes before we were directed to our table with no explanation on what was going on. Our waitress, while lovely, really struggled to understand us and was clearly overwhelmed with the number of tables she had to wait on. We had a set, 6 course menu that took nearly 3 hours to get through. In that time we were not checked for drinks once. Ambience was very good and the food was delicious however for a 690 Swiss Franc meal, at the end of the night 3 members of our party had to find their own coats in the cloaking rack as the attendants had lost where they had put them. I would rate the service as poor for the above reasons.

Was an amazing dinner. The service, food and presentation was exceptional. We had the 5 course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

That was my least favorite restaurant in Zermatt. We didn’t feel welcomed (it seems like they prioritize those whi stay at the hotel) and the waitress was a little bit rude. We rushed to finish our meal so we could leave quickly One of the meal was delicious (sea bass), but the steak was really tough.

Love the ambience with the Christmas tree, very neat table. Food was great, service was awesome. My kids enjoyed their food as well. The wine was perfect.

We had an amazing evening at the Veranda Zermatt. The staff was very welcoming and professional, absolutely amazing service and atmosphere, good food, and good wine. A very nice place to spend an evening!
