9.5/10This was my third meal at Verde Caffe but my first at lunchtime and sitting outside. The main course food as usual was superb. High quality ingredients used in simple but unusual combinations with an excellent balance of flavour and texture. My only disappointment was the deserts. Just two, the Italian standards of Panna Cotta or Tiramisu which you find in just about every restaurant in Italy. Couldn't the chef who is so imaginative with the main courses do a little more than this. I had a Panna Cotta with chocolate. The Panna Cotta was as expected, the chocolate turned out to be a scoop of Nutella. For a restaurant of this quality to present that was poor and spoiled an otherwise excellent meal. I'll be back but skip the deseserts.

9.5/10Loved this place! Perfect for the 2 vegetarians in our party and even our avid meat eater loved it. We had the menu, which comprised 5 different veggie dishes, each were delicious and different in taste and texture. Highly recommend.

4/10No point proudly pointing out the mayonnaise is vegan when, on the same plate of the set meal, you serve Russian Salad with tuna! There was no indication on the menu that there was tuna in the salad. Why would you do that? Fish is neither vegetarian nor vegan. Service was really slow. Our one course meal took an hour. People on the table next to us were still waiting for their order after 30 minutes, not good when the menu is fixed with only six or so items all cold. Finally, we ordered a bottle of Pecorino, which arrived warm with an apology that it wasn’t chilled. We weren’t told it was the last one, so had to change wine for the second bottle. The wine list is very limited, so it isn’t a sign of being organised when at 7pm, the beginning of the evening service, there’s only one bottle of a particular ordinary wine and that hadn’t been chilled. You either tell your customer before they order it or don’t offer it.
