This is a really nice restaurant close to a square where children play so a lot of families around in traditional Spanish style which populates all cafés, bars and restaurants around it. It was less crowded than the cafes so easy to get a table.

Great atmosphere. We were 16 including children, and the service was as cordial as if we were just a couple. Not easy to serve so many people arriving at different times and with so different profiles. The food was amazing. A strong touch of Galicia, but with a wider Spanish coverage. Fantastic.

It all started when the guy who assisted let me sit in an empty area full of spotlight. I requested if I can sit upstairs together with all the other diners but he said that the table was specifically reserved for me and there were no vacant table upstairs. Ofcourse these things happened so I understand. While I was browsing the menu, I noticed that the portions are actually huge and I wasn't super hungry so I opted for just the fried squid with fries and the artisan ice cream and cappuccino for dessert. The food was very tasty. The fried squid was served while it was hot and crispy. The sauce complements the squid and fries perfectly. The squid is not gummy in comparison to calamaris I tried in other restaurants. This one from Chitin is excellent, it's crisp even if it stays for a while in open air. I admit I dined in Chitin when it was kinda crowded. I don't have any bad remarks to the guy who assisted me as he was very accomodating. Maybe he was just overwhelmed with the number of diners. My concern is that, my dining experience could have been better if my orders arrived on time. I tried to chase the waiter and was informed that my coffee is coming. I was unhappy eating the ice cream on its own as I would love to have it with the coffee. I was waiting and waiting yet nada. I ended up leaving the restaurant without the coffee being served. I went to the cash register disappointed and asked if I could pay my bill. I didn't wait for the waiter to come because I may wait forever. They apologize for the coffee not being served. They also asked if I still want the coffee, I declined. There was no point having the coffee anymore when the ice cream is over and done. I hope that next time my experience with this restaurant will be better because the food is really really good.
