The service was good and the waiters very friendly. The food was mixed - I had a calzone with ham and artichokes which was very good. The person I was with ordered pasta which was not even Al dente - it was practically uncooked.

We had booked this restaurant as we had heard there weren’t many places open in Varenna in late Oct. We had 3 pizzas, an aubergine parmigiana and puddings. It was all really good, nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly service. Wine recommendation was good and good value. We would certainly return and recommend.

Our food came out before our drinks. When our drinks came the order was wrong (we ordered 2 drinks the same drink, not a massive order). One main came out with the starter and the other main 15 mins later, therefore we didn't eat together. Expensive for the food you got €18 for 3 squares of char fillet. Waiter was rude, not letting us finish the order before walking away and having to be called back. Would not recommend at all.

We loved it again. Wine, eggplant parm, pesto pasta, and beef entrecôte…all very good…oh, of course, and the dessert special.

Online reservations were a definite plus! The food was great and the service was excellent. Nice wine selection as well. The restaurant is on the main Varenna piazza but enclosed with AC which was much appreciated on a hot evening. Definitely recommend!

We were charged €24.50 for 7 bottles of water that was clearly just tap water as it came in jugs even though they received €24 for cover charge. Charged €3.50 per person almost for tap water. Food was good and staff were very knowledgeable about wine.
