The service was faaaaaaar too long Until we sat on our table we had to wait 45 min just for the waiter to come take our wine order. The restaurant was half full so there where not so many people. The waiter wasn’t very nice. The food was good but definitely not amazing We found many more better restaurants on the island So disappointing ! ????

Really great choice of fish and the staff is very helpful, especially when you are not having so much knowledge about fish. Food was excellent -we will definitely come again.

Excellent Choice of fresh fish. Simply made, but therefore pure taste. We missed a little bit a cosy atmosphere. (To flashy Lights). You have a really nice overview ontop of the harbour. Very friendly staff. If you don't like fish: The meat was even excellent.

Good selection of fresh local fish and seafood. Nice location and the view. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Not a posh one but a very nice place to have dinner after a long day with an intense Madeira hike.

Food + service + view = 10/10. Also easy parking at the bottom of the hill- free after 8pm.

Bib gourmand rated restaurant. Perhaps not although we did not have the fresh displayed fish. We had the limpets and prawns which were good. The shellfish paella was OK. We finished with chocolate mousse which was good. But overall didn't live up to bib gourmand standard cf Casal de Penha

Fresh fish simply cooked with rustic accompaniments in a beautiful setting. Very good and reasonably priced. If you like fish then check it out.

Beautiful view, romantic environment, amazing food

A fabulous restaurant with wonderful views. I had the best sea bass I have ever had and my husband had the steak on the stone which he said was to die for. Excellent and well priced wine. Friendly and welcoming staff. We will be returning very soon

Food was great and top service

Loved the whole experience from the fantastic setting and views over the harbour to the menu which includes visiting the cooking area to choose your fish (we had scorpion fish as it looked so unusual - we weren't disappointed!)

Pleasant evening with family. Really good service and good poncha! Special because we could choose our own fish which were made for us, recommend!

Very disappointing meal. The view from the restaurant is lovely but the service was chaotic. The waiters were running around and they forgot to serve my husband’s starter. The tomato salad was mainly very strong onions and very few tomatoes. The fish which was our main reason for coming to this restaurant was very over cooked! When we told the waiter he said they were very busy that evening and we should try them again on another night. I don’t think we will
