10/10We visited Villa Patrizia on a Monday to celebrate my mother’s birthday. From the moment I first contacted the owner, who is deeply involved with the guests, I was impressed by the exceptional care and attention given to creating the perfect menu for us. The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant were fantastic. The service was top-notch, making the experience even more enjoyable. This is a place where you can truly savor the food, with a unique culinary experience led by the owner herself, Chef Patrizia. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates refined dining and special attention—qualities that are unfortunately rare to find these days. Special greetings from Daniel and Miriam. We will definitely return when we're nearby.

7/10The food was pretty good. Not quite as good as I'd hoped considering the reviews and awards, but for a German Italian restaurant it was good. The amuse bouche was the best course and that's never good, it should just be a taste of the goodness to come. We had the monthly menu which is excellent value. One of us had the wine pairing. All the wines were Italian and surprisingly full-bodied and complex. No red was offered. The wine for the main came after we had finished our mains. Beef Tartare was delicious, unctuous and rich. Truffle lasagna was also good, but the truffle comes in the form of a truffle foam rather than in the lasagna itself. Lovely bechamel. The fish was the most disappointing course. The skin was soggy, fish slightly overcooked and it came with a mush of vegetables and 4 slices of potato. Dessert was ok, the mousse was more like an espresso flavoured mascarpone, not light like a mousse should be. Service was friendly, although we waited a good 25 minutes for our order to be taken by the maitre'd, as he was busy talking to another table. The ambience is very masculine and old-fashioned. Needs a modern revamp for sure. Definitely caters to the business crowd. Decor in the men's bathroom is sexist and distasteful, but considering there were only two women in the restaurant, I'm guessing the regulars don't mind. Overall a decent meal, but would not rush back.

10/10This was a truly amazing experience. I walked in the door and turned off my phone, allowing myself to focus on the experience. I was able to block out everything except for the moment. I allowed myself the 5 course surprise menu with wine pairing, and I was blown away. The service, the food abs the atmosphere are to die for! Go for it!

7.5/10The food is excellent. I was invited several university colleagues from abroad for a publication celebration and was very disappointed in how we were treated. The waitors and the owner were very attentive to othet guests but ignored us. We waved down three waitors for dessert and it took a half hour before we were able to order it. They forgot our dessert wine, never came back to offer us coffee, so we missed this and praelines altogether. Very disappointing. I told one waitor at the end of my embarrassment of how my guests were treated, which prompted him to bring us dessert wine on the house, but it was too late to turn our terrible mood despite the truly excellent kitchen. This is not a restaurant for taking international guests, and left my guests with a poor impression not only of this restaurant, but of Duisburg
