très bonne maison
Stunning food and lovely restaurant with attractive indoor decor and a green and shady outdoor section. Each of my 6 courses was close to perfect. I opted for the surprise menu. The food was not overly showy or complex but demonstrated great mastery of the art of layering flavours. I made sure to try a little of all the flavours on each dish at once. Each ingredient sung out in it's own turn in a fabulous sequence of flavours. Favourite courses were aubergine roll with pimento and sheeps cheese and the sturgeon with fish roe, piccilo peppers and meat jus. I went during an extremely quiet lunch service on Saturday, service was professional, polite and engaging throughout. Price came to 100€ which , given I had 4 glasses of wine , represents great value.
