Lovely wine bar with a nice wine selection and splendid food. Nice mellow atmosphere and decor, the service was very personal and attentive.
I had a delicious smoked swordfish starter followed by gnocchi with duck ragu. My SO had the cured beef salad, then pasta with truffle and funghi. For dessert we shared a “deconstructed cannolo”, also very tasty. Nice Tuscan wine accompanied the meal. This was our last dinner in Florence, and couldn’t have ended our stay on a better note.

A great little Vinoteca off the tourist path in Firenze. Ice selection of wine and a creative food menu with carpaccios and tartares and a small “warm” menu of soups and gnocchi and pastas. Well worth a stroll from the crowded streets around the Duomo.

This restaurant is away from the tourists and craziness of the Duomo area. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming and the food was great. We started with the Insalata with smoked sword fish and the prosciutto and cheese plate. The salad was awesome and has a nice smokey flavor from the fish. A great combination. The cheese was nice and tender but not too sharp. For our mains we both chose the gnocchi, one with alla sorrentina and one with duck ragu. Again both were prepared perfectly. We finished with the cheesecake and the Chocolate cake.

The prices were very very reasonable and don’t forget the house wine which was delicious.

If you are loooimg for a romantic restaurant away from the crowds, this is the place.
