Vivo e vibrante più che mai, il locale affaccia su porta Saragozza, dove comincia il portico più lungo al mondo che va su fino al santuario di S. Luca. Atmosfera da club internazionale, specchi, sedie di design e ampi spazi sia dentro che nel bel cortile interno. Cura dei dettagli, piatti ricavati da vetri antichi e arredi di pregio. Licia Mazzoni e lo chef Vincenzo Vottero sono compagni e soci, anima e corpo di un progetto di ristorazione originale e sempre in fermento.

La proposta è creativa, accostamenti audaci, esplosione di gusto mai prevedibile. La tradizione c’è in versione classica ma è nella sperimentazione, nell’uso della tecnica e nell’invenzione che si concentra il menù. Ogni piatto ha un titolo perché è una creazione unica. La qualità è un dogma. Ampio spazio ai cocktail e agli champagne.

    My wife and I came here on our anniversary -- and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place for this occasion. The staff are incredibly welcoming and warm -- and the food, well, the food was out of this world. The best venison either of us had ever had in our lives. And their take on tortellini in brodo was, as their comical name for this dish suggests ("And the winner is...") a real winner. The wine our waiter suggested was both perfect and affordable. In America, this meal would have cost easily twice as much -- if you could find a meal this good. Finally, I enjoy a restaurant that takes itself seriously... but not too seriously. Vivo Vincenzo Vottero Taste Lab is one of the funnier names for a restaurant I've ever encountered. Bravo!!!

    No English menu (or attempt to help with the Italian menu); excessively loud sound system playing painfully bad cover versions of pop songs; kitsch decor - the worst of Ikea; pretty good food, albeit tiny portions for an above-average price. Luckily we were full from lunch. (Two starters, two 'primi', and a bottle of water: €75. Lunch the same day, at a well known and well regarded trattoria, including 3 'primi', 2 'secondi', dessert, wine and digestif cost the same.) All things considered, there's a talented chef in the kitchen, but we made a sigh of relief going out of the place.

    We had the chefs choice tasting menu with their wine flute Wow it was so good 3starters A trio of pumpkin which was shuttle but enticing followed by the raw tuna that was superb and then the smoked venison would highly recommend all three 2pasta dishes starting with the tortalini Amazing so delicate yet the flavours were succinct Then the cuttlefish head spaghetti the only dish that didn’t excel although was good Then finally the monkfish another masterpiece No room for desert !! As tasting me yes go it was great portions hence no room for desert and truly inspiring The wine combinations were very complementary for the dishes and again good portions Would recommend to any who want to experience a Modern twist on top class Italian food No stodgy pasta Great value for money
