10/10Voila is one of my favorite places in this extraordinary city. I have lived in Bordeaux for five years, and for a romantic evening for two or quite extra extraordinarily when you're on your own, this is the place I would suggest. Quiet and civilized it looks and feels like someone's salon in a small private home. It is not grand in any sense, but the magic is in the atmosphere and the extraordinary way a fine glass of wine can be matched with a variety of wine-foods. I would recommend a reservation. choose a time when you want to be quiet and with yourself or with someone special, and be well looked after. And come away, delighted and gently renewed. david w

10/10This is a delightful venue with an incredibly knowledgeable guide leading the way— we enjoyed beautiful cheeses, duck, and rillettes with expert wine pairings (both local and global) along the way. It’s a pleasure to recommend!

10/10A truly charming restaurant and a great place to enjoy honest food with great wine pairings! A boudoir-like, cosy space where you are made to feel welcome and treated with courtesy and kind attention. The owner is a wine lover with a truly fine, hand-picked selection of wines from around the world and knows how to cater to the tastes and wishes of his guests. He knows how to entertain people with great descriptions of the wines, their taste, origin and how they are made. The menu consists of plates (assiettes) of delicious local produce - we had 'rillettes de boeuf piment d'Espelette', 'magret de canard seché au poivre' and 'cohon noir de Combes'. We finished with some delicious fried goat's cheese (picodon) and shared a 'tarte tatin'. The wines we tasted were excellent and came from regions we were relatively unfamiliar with - which in itself was rewarding and a journey for the senses. A lovely place to enjoy wine and food that is simply exquisite. We loved it and will definitely be back. Tip: Book in advance, the restaurant is tiny and many people love it!

10/10Went there for dinner, not really what I expected. If you want a more proper dinner, better go to other restaurants. They only have small dishes.

10/10The owner is all things (host, server, sommelier, chef) and is amazing in all aspects! We are non-French speakers and he was amazingly patient with us. The food presentation and quality as well as the wine he choose for us were perfect. A must see, especially for couples and small groups to enjoy the very intimate setting.

10/10Amazing little restaurant. Very good food and wine. Professional service. All dishes were presented to us and wine selected accordingly to our food. We’ve received a truly French experience.

9/10Good staff, food is good, good pricing and excellent liquors While I prefer enjoying liquor instead of wine, the food pairing suggestion made up for it

8/10This small wine bar is what it says it is, expert wine knowledge, cheese and charcuterie. It’s not a restaurant. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

6/10Satisfactory quality but limited choice of courses and small portion size (especially for xmas day). Good selection of wines, as one would expect of Bordeaux!

9.5/10Great food in reasonable sized proportions. The server was excellent. Helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and how the plate would appear. Small and quaint so tables very close as normal in these cute bistros. No secrets discussed here. ????

5/10We were looking for a small locals bistrot for a nice Sunday evening dinner. We thought we had found such a location as the maître d' was extremely friendly and accommodating. However the only outside dining area is in the boulevard and you have lots of people walking by right next to your table. The wine list was short but nice and we had a good Lussac Saint-Emilion for dinner. The entrées were very good, especially the foie gras that I had. However the disappointment came with the main plats. I had the magret which was suppose to be medium rare but came to the table overcooked for even a well-done plat. Overall it was at best average and I doubt we will visit it again.

8/10The duck is really good here. A must to try ( both the duck and the Parmentier of duck ). We also had a dish of cheese after which was really good. All accompagnied by good red wines proposed by the waiter ( who knows his wines ). Further more we had a dessert ( café gourmand ), absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was relax, we ate on the terras outside ( a bit noisy as in the main road, but nice )

6.5/10We had to wait very long for our food (i think the kitchen forgot our order). Then again, the waiter was very friendly and gave us for free an appatizer and extra wine. We would go back for the service, but the time we had to wait for our food and the quality of the food was a bit disapointing.
