The experience at Westend is always great. Great food, interesting menu options, attentive, caring and high quality hospitality service, and ambience that belies the size of the place. One of my go to places in central Geelong, for a coffee, a drink, a meet up, or dinner.

Not what we were expecting, food was not the best ( not much flavour) for the price, no atmosphere there at all. The Chef from the kitchen was steering at me all the time and made me quite uncomfortable. Staff was very nice and engaging . Don’t think that we will be back to this place again

I feel the quality of the food at Wah Was Gee has declined. It used to be fresh and have plenty of favour. The food we had was dull with very little flavour. The cauliflower dish, which is one our favourites was dry. Wait staff were good overall but they should not stack your plates at your table before taking them, basic service manners is to remove them with out making it become a major event while you are enjoying your conversation and company.

Fresh, high quality ingredients beautifully prepared in an unfussy manner....and the wine list is very carefully constructed by a very professional curator. Both food and wine are provided at very fair prices.

Place looks high-end brilliant. Food was a big let down (apart from the impressively large bowl of hot chips in the midst of a potato shortage). I’d rate the ambience higher, except I ended up resenting the ultra-trendy and modem feel of the place when the food was so average. I don’t care how Instagram worthy the place is for the masses of shallow & image-obsessed patrons, the food is the soul of any institution. We brought a friend straight here after landing in Melbourne from interstate. It was almost embarrassing how the product didn’t match the architecture. I do not recommend the pork schnitzel “salad”. Terrible. Staff were attentive & polite.

The wait staff were classy, professional, well presented and friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice catch up with a friend. We were able to hold a good conversation without being drowned out by background noise. I will come again!

Ordered the $25.50 antipasti for 2. The baguette was stale and so we asked for a fresh one only to have the same thing reheated and still stale. The salmon looked like it was from the tin and the baba ganoush was small and tasteless.
