9.5/10The White Hart at Dorchester on Thames is a lovely restaurant. The booking process was easy, the venue is inviting, the staff are friendly, helpful & welcoming & the food is delicious. They are also dog-friendly. It was the perfect choice for our Sunday lunch.

3.5/10the restaurant was very noisy, the chairs scraping on the floor was excruciating the decor is not in keeping with the ancient hotel. The best comment is for Emma who served us, she made our visit tolerable.

9.5/10A very enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings. Once at the table, the service was fine, however the initial welcome was 'less than welcoming' as we were ignored until I spoke to the member of staff.

10/10Fantastic place, so friendly and welcoming, lovely warm and relaxing ambience, and food was delicious! Dogs welcomed as part of the family. This made our visit extra special :)

2/10The website described the establishment as a hotel and restaurant, so naturally I thought I was booking a restaurant when I booked the table. However the lunch menu was extremely limited and the ambience more like a cafe or bar. . We decided to go elsewhere. A more accurate description would help people make the right decision for their occasion. .

10/10We stayed here last year for New Year's Eve and enjoyed it so much, we decided to do so again this year. Everything about our stay was excellent and our evening meal was delicious (as well as breakfast the following morning). The bar is cosy and ideal for a pre-dinner drink and the restaurant is lovely, with excellent service from everyone - attentive, without being 'too much', Very well done

5.5/10Last minute booking. Not particularly welcoming on arrival. Older waitress needs to learn to smile! Beef and Ale pies were good but leek, salmon and prawn tart totally overcooked, dry and tasteless accompanied by undressed salad leaves. Potatoes were good. Desserts were nice. Not wowed but overall ok

10/10Really great service, good menu and nice ambiance. We had 2 Sunday roasts that were really good, 2 burgers that were excellent. Deserts were cheesecakes that were great and a chocolate brownie equally as good. Price was good value, recommended to everyone.

8.5/10The hotel is in a wonderful location and the staff gave us a great welcome. The room was lovely and the restaurant very impressive. The hotel isn’t far from Oxford, so we drove (15 mins) to the Redbridge park and ride (£5 all day) with a 10 minute bus ride into the centre of the City. It’s so much nicer to return to the serenity of Dorchester at the end of a busy day. Highly recommended

9/10The dining room is big and airy and relaxed. We had simple food - burgers etc - which were great. One of us had fish and chips which looked excellent and I was told were superb.

9/10We really enjoyed our stay at the White Hart and our evening meal there too. Very tasty food, friendly staff and reasonably priced too. Will definitely go again next time we are in the area.

9/10Loved the restaurant decor and feel. Plenty of people in but easy to converse. Lovely food including good options for a Coeliac. Service was efficient if a little lacking in warmth and welcome. Would thoroughly recommend.
