6/10The place has a great location. Unfortunately, we waited for more than an hour for tartes flambees - not a fancy food to prepare. Also, when they were finally served they turned out to be not special at all, just correct. The service is the greatest asset of the restaurant. The guy serving us was very aimiable and apologised several times for the delay, apparently there was a problem in the kitchen.

5.5/10We arrived for a lunchtime reservation made three weeks ago, only to find it hadn’t been honoured. A staff member dismissively said, "You can cancel if you want, it's the Christmas markets," and when they asked when we'd booked ("3 weeks ago!" replied, "bah voilà" (!) . Their lack of preparation for the Christmas season is baffling, reflecting a reliance on tourists rather than customer care. Eventually, after 20 minutes, they found us a table. The white-shirted waiter was polite, but the responsable in his Christmas jumper showed little respect, even asking us to wait outside in the cold. This incident raised concerns about La Fourchette. Another booking at La Bedaine the previous night was also mishandled, despite a €50 deposit taken. These issues make La Fourchette unreliable during busy periods in Strasbourg. On the upside, the flammekueches were tasty, but expect a 10–15 minute queue for the toilets. Overall, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a reliable dining experience.
