Wonderful punchy food, lovely ambience in an intimate setting, and such friendly staff who did a great job looking after us. It was only slightly let down by the time taken between some of the plates. But other than that a rzal winner! Would absolutely recommend.

Went to Wood & Water as it was conveniently close to our next appointment. What a surprise we got! I lived in Brixton for 4 years over a decade and it was a long time since I returned. Loved the designed of the place, the manager/owner was brilliant with our kids and us. The food was really tasty and please be warned of the Jamaican Mary! It’s not for the faint hearted. We also tried all their dessert which were scrumptious. Go, book and relax. To be honest, we went for a very early Sunday lunch and it was very quiet but I long to return and feel the vibe of a busy evening. So cool.

The Wood and Water team were warm and welcoming. We were lucky enough to be served by one of the owners who focused on making sure we were comfortable and cared for. The food superb and we highly recommend the pepper prawns, duck celeriac, curry goat sausage rolls and sweet potato gnocchi. We were too full to make it to heaven, the dessert menu. A cosy sumptuous beautifully lit interior greets you. The key colours are velvet greens, deep brown woods and palm motifs in accent wallpaper accompanied by cool amapiano/ afrocentric background music. All this reminded me of being in a romantic lux beach location somewhere near the equator. I highly recommend this place and will visit again.

I had heard great things about Wood and Water but as is my want, I very much manage my own expectations until I have experienced the culinary delights or not of any restaurant I go to. I am very proud to declare this wonderful restaurant absolutely superceded any expectation I didn't have. Lol. These small delicate, delicious plates of joy just kept coming and with each plate unceremoniously devoured, the bigger the smile on my face. The curry Goat sausage roll was my opening gambit and left me literally speechless and closed eyed as the wonderful assault on my taste buds began. This was followed by incredible plate after incredible plate of beautifully prepared and presented food with such depths of flavours. The hispi cabbage followed by fondant sweet potato, fish pie, spicy ballotine chicken were all perfection and last but certainly not least was the good old fashion and utterly delectable apple crumble. The cocktails flying from the bar were also a visual treat even for me a tee totaller. Suffice to say I now can forward on my expectations to you all in the absolute certainty that you won't be disappointed but of course only you can decide. Delicious food made we love, fantastic service from the co-owner Lee who's clearly very proud of the creations coming from the kitchen, ensures this little gem of a restaurant is a must visit culinary destination. In the words of Arnie 'I'll be back'.

Sincerely, we loved it! Food was punchy and rich in flavor, pretty and honest in presentation (didn't care for decoration flowers, but it didn't distract me from how good the dishes were). Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were great. The price vs quality ratio is spectacular. The service staff was knowledgeable and pleasant, food came quickly, I could not recommend it higher!

Really great ambiance, would not even know you were in Brixton. Took a while to take our order, and ages for plantain chips to arrive. All the food was tasty especially the enoki mushrooms. The last dish took a very long time to arrive.

I went with a friend for brunch. We were impressed with the menu and really enjoyed the food we ordered. We had the french toast, ackee and saltfish & goat sausage role. All were delicious. The waiters were attentive but lacking a little knowledge regarding the menu.
