About the restaurant Woods at InterContinental Genève

The Woods restaurant reflects the harmony of nature. Here, Tony Chi wanted to give raw materials their nobility: wood brings visual warmth for a cozy effect. Like a chalet, you ask? Yes, but a chic one! Impossible to miss the entry table or the immense wall of foliage that covers the restaurant, again, notable works by the Korean artist Lee Jae Hyo. With its terrace surrounded by lush bamboo, beside a small Zen-inspired pool, The Woods becomes the perfect, soothing setting for a summer meal.

The Chef, Guillaume Bourdillon puts all his talent into offering a contemporary cuisine prepared from seasonal products. His challenge: to give classic dishes a bold twist. Depending on the month, he delights with a succession of flavours such as souris d’agneau confite aux olives et tomates, but also such heritage vegetables as cardoons or parsnips, with each dish given a Mediterranean touch.

Pastry Chef Steeve Rochambeau also follows the seasons and will delight your palate with fresh, sweet and delectable fragrances. Try his chocolate mousse of Guayaquil or, for the more daring, a strawberry tart in a delicate meringue shell with shards of pistachio and ices made from Gruyère cream.

Throughout the year, The Woods is famous in Geneva for its Sunday brunch thanks to the variety and quality of the buffet. Any gourmet would be seduced by the thousand and one savory and sweet delicacies enjoyed in a friendly, family atmosphere. Indeed, children have their own dedicated room and are our honored guests every Sunday.

I really like Woods, have been there many times, the Chef patisserie is superb.
Regarding service it could have been faster and more professional. I.e. filling up the champagne glass, i asked for water and it didn't arrive.
This place has a great potential with the decor and food quality and the lovely bar.

Worst experience ever at the Woods! Absolutely not professional service! I've never seen this in a five star hotel in Geneva. Far beyond habitual service in this restaurant. What a deception for my Valentine!

We struggled to get a wine list and then order some wine. Food was ok but I've been to much better brunch buffets.

Large and excellent choice of starters and deserts, poorer on the main dishes in my opinion. Excellent service. All women were offered a beautiful rose as it was women's day, a lovely thought.

Great food and very professional service. The dishes are really well presented and its well served in terms of quantity. I would recommend for a family reunion or a romantic diner. We got a table next to the terasse window and it was perfect.

The dishes were very well presented, but lacked taste. I was very disappointed because the restaurant was beautifully decorated and I expected that the food would be equally lavishing. Unfortunately, they were below average, especially the lobster dish.

The warm and welcoming service was a wonderful introduction to the meal which was perfect in every way! Every bite was a true delight...from the mouth watering sole meunière to the flavorful basil risotto to the scrumptious strawberry sablé. To top it all off the wait staff was friendly and outstanding with attention to perfection.

Like most things here in Geneva, the resto regular price points before discount is applied, is expensive. The motivation was certainly the opportunity to experience the rest at this special price. I found the meal and desserts food, but in my opinion, the discounted price should have been reflective as the normal price. In closing, the star of the show is the dessert menu. I might suggest going for a glad of wine, cheese platter and a wonderful dessert.
