Food is good, but not great.
In this restaurant you do not need to think of enjoying till closing time, the owner is watching you and even when not finished presenting you the invoice (21.30). You do not get the time or chance to order a dessert as they start cleaning and waiting for you to leave, owner is standing in the corner and watching you.
Not a nice experience if you want to enjoy dining.

Whilst we've only ever used Yam Thai as a takeaway, I feel well-versed to be able to pass judgement. A better Thai you'll struggle to find in Rotterdam, simple as that. It's rustic charm appears to invite diners back time after time, the quality of the food easily out-stripping that of it's competition in the city. Being of simple Thai tastes, ours' is always the red curry with shrimp, the green curry with chicken and pad thai, all perfectly portioned, and full of flavour. Preferring as close a dish as I can get to a ghoong chu chi, I ask for extra chilli in the red curry and of course is duly delivered. Everything is cooked fresh, with small refinements (such as zero onion in the green curry) easily afforded. You simply cannot go wrong with Yam Thai, and even those not in the North of the city are advised to give it a go.
