Would not recommend! Was expecting first class service and food but we found the waiter to be rude and not well managed. Some of the food was pretty good, but other dishes ordinary.

I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant & it was as great as my friends said. My partner is certainly not vegan but loved the food too. Well worth checking out

From the moment that we entered the restaurant, the staff were welcoming and professional - providing all details about the various courses. Visually, the courses appeared too pretty to eat but of course who could resist and we were rewarded! I would certainly dine at Yellow again and would recommend the restaurant to friends and acquaintances with an inquisitive palate.

Amazing food as Always but was a bit let down with the non-alcoholic drinks - the tamarind sour wasn’t great (an acquired taste) and the apple shrub suggestion as an alternate to their smoked lemonade was nowhere near similar

First time at fine dining. Service was amazing, they explain the dish and how it’s prepared and what to expect when you eat. They bring out each meal promptly and make sure you always have water/sparkling water to drink. The atmosphere was really good. The music was soft and the guests weren’t loud. It was an amazing experience and definitely worth the money, especially with the fork discount.

It would be difficult to find enough superlatives to shower on this gem. Higher end prices but worth disturbing the budget. Carefully selected wine range (we chose not to select the optional wine package) and startling food. Oh the preparation! Not 5 star from me as it was a little too noisy but I’m in a senior age group. Attentive service. A great experience all around.

European bistro feel, very busy on a Sat afternoon. The ambience and service was excellent as was the presentation of each dish. Delicious food and you are able to savour the taste of every fresh ingredient. Minor quibble but I would have loved at least one dish to be spicier, maybe with some Asian influence. But as a habitual vegetarian, very happy to find a restaurant focused on this type of cuisine!

Well established restaurant in Potts Point. Service was good.. wouldve been nice for someone to come and welcome us rather than us going inside the restaurant and waiting for someone to greet us. the menu was a 8/10, some hit and misses but def excellent food quality. great mix of flavours. would dine again. great atmosphere, the dishes were PERFECTLY spaced out. we were full by the last dessert dish. also attention to detail wouldve been nice.. had to let the waiter know that he didnt apply the 30% off the food bill..

Dark and old decor. Staff not friendly doesn’t seem to know or remember what’s actually in the plate. Food was terrible, definitely not worth the price and portions were small and does not taste nice at all. Waste of money

About the restaurant

In opening Yellow, their third restaurant, in 2013, Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt were inspired by the European dining scene that has given birth to a new way of eating: contemporary food and wine served in an informal atmosphere at affordable prices.

In February 2016, Brent and Nick, together with co-owner Glen Goodwin, relaunched Yellow's dinner menu to be 100 per cent vegetarian having recognized a growing demand for plant-based eating.

Brent has long been renowned for his inventive vegetarian dishes but going wholly plant-based was a first for the business.

“I've always loved cooking with vegetables,” says Brent, “and having a solely vegetable-driven menu gives me the opportunity to focus on interesting and heirloom varietals, grown by local suppliers. By treating vegetables with the same consideration as protein we hope to show that vegetarian dishes are just as delicious as any other menu item.”

Nick's eclectic wine list, balances the familiar and the obscure and includes a range of natural, biodynamic and organic wines that complement the plant-based menu.

Yellow is open five nights a week, with lunch offered on weekends. We offer a 5 or 7-course Vegan tasting menu only.
