2/10We had a terrible experience last night. The place was not kept in a good condition. Lighting was out. The place was dimmed and not in a good way. We ordered hotpot and had to wait for 40 mins. Finally the soup and the frozen meats came out. All low quality. The chicken meat was sever cooked (instead of fresh to cook in hot pot). The smell was awful. I am confident the chicken was about to go bad so they cooked it to cover the bad condition. At the end we walked away and paid 100 euros for what they brought out without eating anything. We just wanted to get away and not spent a min longer. 100 euros was for 2 small bottles of beer 1 big bottle of water (water glasses are wet) 3 plates of frozen meat and the chicken 2 plates of vegetable I saw another Chinese family returned a food and walked out with dissatisfaction too. I should have left when I saw that. So that was our mistake. The lady said they only have 1 person in the kitchen. I believe the whole place was run by husband (cooking), wife (taking orders& serving) . No extra staffs. Horrific

7.5/10Good food, fast service, good prices. Definitely an excellent alternative for the overpriced Montreux. The restaurant is also big enough to accommodate big groups

9.5/10Really authentic spicy Chinese food. The hotpot Is especially having good stock and good selections of food. For those who want a taste of “mala” or numbing spice is a place to go to

2.5/10Pretty miserable experience. We’re huge fans of pig intestines, and ordered its ma la xiang guo with pig intestines as a base, only to find out that there were around 10 tiny pieces when it eventually arrived. We also had to wait over 45 for the food to arrive. The beef in the dao xiao mian were inedible.

9.5/10This restaurant is not on the main restaurant strip along the water, but just a short walk away and we were very glad we found it. We ordered four different dishes and they were all delicious. In fact, the food was better than most of the Chinese food I have had in the US. The service was friendly and very prompt. Definitely a restaurant to try while you are in Montreux!

9.5/10Lovely place and great deal on The Fork. We had the cumin lamb, cantonese rice, steamed dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, and fried chicken wings. All were quite good, and this was a very good value.

10/10Hands down THE best Chinese food I had outside of China. It was really delicious. We had crispy chicken, shrimps with spiced salt and braised aubergine. All dishes were to die for.

10/10Our second visit in a row! We had discovered this amazing Chinese restaurant on The Fork the previous night and after our enjoyable first dinner here, before we had even reached our hotel, we had booked dinner again at Yu Xiang Yuan for the following night. Once again, we enjoyed the delicious food and the attentive service, and even ordered takeaway to have for lunch for the car trip back to Germany the following day! Highly recommended overall, with great flavors and quality and good prices for Montreux. We wish we lived closer and could visit weekly!

10/10Fantastic find in Montreux! It exceeded our expectations in every way and we had such a pleasant dinner after a long day of exploring the beautiful Montreux area. Excellent food (some of the best Chinese we have had anywhere!) plus attentive service, with the owner coming by to make sure we were enjoying the food. The dining area was also beautiful, with new furnishings and plenty of open space. The hot and sour soup is truly to die for! We only wished we could go more often — we can’t find similarly good Chinese good in the Düsseldorf area where we currently live! We will definitely visit again as soon as we make it back to Montreux. Merci beaucoup!
