About the restaurant Zé do Cozido

The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is nice. The kitchen is good, I taked the octopus...it was very good but too much oil. It’s a good place to meet portoguese because it’s not a turistic restaurant.

Been here 5 times so far. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Lisbon - particularly on the alternating Thursdays/Sundays when they serve cozido. Quality is consistently very high. Seafood is never overcooked, dishes are very balanced in general. Favorite dishes: Peixe Espada (better than merendinho do arco), Bacalhau com Broa, Cozido (best I've had in portugal), Pork and Pineapple.
