Zen's is a lovely local Japanese restaurant who continues to serve authentic delicous food. my favourite restaurant in Hawthorn. I would recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for a high standard of food in the area.

We love Zen Restuarant - the food is always so fresh and tasty. We had the seafood bento box, sushi sashimi platter, mushroom salad and prawn gyoza. Everything was delicious. Thanks Zen for a great dinner.

Food was so good, we are already planning our next visit to sample other dishes on the menu. So pleased they had Osaka's famous takoyaki on the menu!

Love this place! The food is outstanding and very authentic. Pricing is excellent too. I think they might be a bit short staffed at the moment - very lovely staff but slow on service the last two times I've eaten there. Would come back though... the Kaiseki Bento and agadashi tofu are spectacular.

We've lived in the area for a while but never tried Zen! Glad we did, we will definitely be back. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the space was lovely and cosy.

Consistently really good food in Zen. My favourites are the tempura (perfectly light and crispy), sushi/sashimi (really fresh) and wafu steak (very tender). The staff are always very welcoming so it’s a pleasure to keep going back.

Not the first time we have been to Zen, and it wont be the last. While the service level varies from first class to non existant sometimes, the food quality is exemplary.

Great food, quiet space and attentive staff. Super fresh sashimi. My fourth visit. I’ll definitely be back. Kindly let me bring along a cake for my daughter’s birthday. Thanks for a lovely evening

The food is good and the service is very good as well. However, on a quiet Sunday we got charge 10% surcharge and on top 2.2% for credit card charge. Just think it is a bit greedy. Also the toilet really need some attention and better off some face lift ... so narrow in space , old and looks likes it is the original toilet, a bit put off.

We found the Zen online and it was our first visit. We had a great evening and the food was delicious. The service was efficient and discreet. I would recommend this restaurant to other diners.

Always fantastic food Cold sake is great A good selection of entrees and prices are very reasonable at this restaurant l. Bento box is just awesome Teriyaki salmon or Beef are so tasty We just love this place!

This small place is charming and never disappoints. The food is very tasty: we especially love the agedashi tofu and miso eggplant (nasu denkagu). The prices are very reasonable and the service helpful. BYO wine is an added bonus.

Sweet little Japanese Restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. Food was fresh and delicious. Service is quick and waiters very welcoming . Greeted warmly and will definitely come again.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Fabulous food with great prices. We were seated in a lovely room with only two groups of people so was perfect for our ladies catch up. Will definitely be back.

Very authentic Japanese cuisine with the nicest service I've expierienced in a long time. The portion sizes we're great & all super tasty. Just a bit too much wasabi they put under sashimi hesitated me from giving a 10/10
