This is our favorite restaurant in Siena; we have been eating there since 2015. As always, today’s lunch was spectacular; the unique seating on the steep road, quality and variety of food and the friendly/professional wait staff make Zest top notch. You will not be disappointed with this dining experience.

We were in Siena May 2022 and stopped in for lunch from a recommendation from our daughter. She and her husband had eaten here in 2014. We came back this May 2023 and everything from start to finish was excellent!! Food was great, service was excellent. The tiramisu and Crème Brûlée were excellent choices for desserts. I do not usually care for tiramisu, however this was amazing!!

Perfect place, great atmosphere. The waiter was super nice and helpful, the space is cozy and interesting, on a steep slope, great view. The food was delicious!

We loved this restaurant. The food was wonderful and wine selection was excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful. We had an outdoor table which afforded spectacular views of the cathedral. We look forward to returning.

We had expected more of the food menu but were disappointed in when in effect the standard Siena menu was dressed up as something more than it really was. Not that the food itself was bad but it was nothing extraordinary for the price we paid. Maybe not all of the reviews are real?

We were very excited for our dinner here given the great reviews but found a reduced menu, not very suited to vegetarians/pescatarians as had seemed to be the case when we booked. My fish was unseasoned. My partner's pasta bland and left him feeling hungry. A shame, as this clearly was once a "must-go" in Siena.

First thing to do when you stay in Siena is make a reservation in this restaurant. Fantastic Italian experience with very good food and service.

The setting of the restaurant was very nice. We sat outside on a very nice street. The service was a bit disorganized but very pleasant. The food was quite bland, nothing special, and not worth the price. Had much better meals in Siena.

We had a lovely meal at a table outside with a spectacular view of the Duomo. The service was excellent. The menu included many seafood and vegetarian options that matched our diet. This meal was a highlight of our vacation in Italy.

Went for a family meal and was just dissapointed with the food. A lot of it was really not good and some of it was only just ok. Menu looked promising but was really dissapointed with the food and taste. A lot of dishes warm/ cold and far too oily/greasy

Dear Abigail, We are sorry to hear about your experience with Zest We had a conversation with the server who was assigned to your table and he reassured us that you were asked several times during the service if everything was good with your food and that at no time he was given any negative feedback. This would have helped us on makeing things right for you in case something did eventually go wrong. He was also surprised of your rating on his service as you acknowledged at the time of getting the bill that except the issue with the food everything else was good. Lastly we were equally surprised of the ratings for the ambience as you had pretty much an entire section of the restaurant to yourself , which dates back the 12th century and it’s always the subject of compliments and conversations. We hope however that your dinner with us did not have much of an impact on your stay in our beautiful region and should you wish giving us another chance in the future we will be more than happy to welcome you!

We thought the food was delicious - we had salads and pork marsala for lunch. The beer was cold, the bread oil/balsamic delicious and the cushioned seat overlooking the duomo was a nice touch!

This place has a great setting in a little street with a very nice rustic view and a backdrop of the duomo. The Mediterranean menu is great, a little different to the usual Tuscan menu you get in most places. Quality of food is excellent! And the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended...

I like the street setting of this restaurant and it was nice enough for us to eat outside. Everything we ordered was good, the tonarelli with boar sauce being the best item. Service was friendly.

Had a great experience with beautiful views, delicious food and very welcoming staff. A great find (and you can bring your dog too) that I will be recommending and returning to next time I am in Siena!!
