Beautiful setting in the main square and overlooking the river. The food is local and fresh. Very enjoyable end to a trek from San Sebastián. We had booked a table but didn’t manage to communicate that, so if you book be sure to go right on inside rather than taking a table on the plaza.
Unique location by ferry boat ride across the fishing boat harbour to San Pedro. Only 4kms from the centre of San Sebastian. Beautiful fresh seafood. We had 6 course fixed price menu. A$105 for 2 people including a glass of wine and coffee. Home made pea soup starter; anchovies; fried squid and sardines; grilled baby prawns. Half a dozen choices for mains. I had hake cheeks stuffed with crab meat and my wife had mixed seafood lightly fried including king prawns and several different fish. Choice of home made cakes for dessert. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our limited Spanish. Had an extra bottle of very good local white wine - sold at retail price. A wonderful experience all round in a charming location. There are a half dozen seafood restaurants lining the wharf but it would be hard to beat Ziaboga for freshness, value and friendliness.
Great discount that makes it affordable!!
