The place is semi restaurant borderline fastfood shack, but the athmosphere is nice and the food was good! Dont wear your fanciest shirt because the dishes are pretty saucy. Nice guacamole. The "extra large" serving is really extra large, lots of food

This is NOT a restaurant, it is is in fact a take away place.. They do not serve the items presented on their homepage and there was no one to serve us (only self service). We contacted the restaurant twice, due to allergies. Second attempt, we received a respond that this was not a problem, but when we arrived, everything was pre-made and they could not customize anything. The food was OK for a cheap take-away place.. But it is NOT a restaurant.

Good surprise!

We were looking for a non-european cuisine and we had found a special Mexican restaurant in Malmö's downtown. Good quality, for a reasonable price.

I had burritos in many places: Malmö, Copenhagen, Chicago, Puerto Rico, New York.
The one at Zócalo was not what I expected even if it tasted OK. A bit expensive for what you get, but that is a generall rule in all Sweden for this kind of chain "fast-food" kind of restaurants.
I would liike to come back and try other dishes before I give a bad review.
Try "Burrito Friends" instead if looking for very tastefull burritos in Malmö.

This restaurant represents extreme value for the money. HOWEVER, they could significantly improve various "marketing" aspects of their operation. They have recently moved from a location with limited seating, forcing a focus on "take-out" sales. Their new location has ample seating and we feel they would do well to focus a bit more on the "eat-in" experience. How? 1) Include photo examples of the various dishes in the menu & place photos on the tables and walls. 2) Give some more explanation of terms in the menu. 3) Have upgrades (i.e. corn instead of wheat tortilla, etc.) in text that does not require a magnifying glass to read. 4) Offer desserts year around, not just during the summer. 5) Offer wine year around, not just during summer. 6) Serve eat-in food on paper plates. Eating a burrito served in a metal basket with paper on the bottom with knife & fork results in the consumption of much wet paper and the need to spit it out. 7) Offer sour cream as a condiment or side or extra/add-on.
