Customer services is always exceptional. Particularly Anna. My friend and I sat at our requested window table. I've recommended Scott's to so many people who have also been delighted.

I enjoyed eating and chatting in a favourable environment. The view from our window table was perfect. The luxurious soft furnishings and spaciousness meant that we were able to communicate with ease; in stark contrast with high noise level in other places. The staff were smart and attentive. I already recommend Scott’s to many people.

A lovely roomy restaurant with views over the Gardens and up to the castle. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. A relaxing place where you can get away from the busy centre but still enjoy looking over it and it's iconic views

This restaurant has great views, and the food is excellent. What let it down, at least when our party was there, was the ill-organized service. We dealt with four different servers. We never knew who would be next, and we could never get the attention of any of them when we needed it. We waited a huge amount of time for someone to bring us the dessert menu, and they never did (we had to flag someone down and request it), and it was the same with the endless wait for the bill. This wasn't a disaster --- we were content to engage in conversation and appreciate the wonderful view of the Princes Street Gardens and the castle --- and each server was pleasant and helpful; but we really have to point out that the service was speedy or attentive to our needs. This was a pity, because we liked the place, and we intend to come back --- on an evening when we have plenty of time to spare!

Nice place to eat overlooking Princes Street, opposite the Scott Monument. Had booked in advance and had a nice table in the window. Food was well cooked and hot when delivered to the table. The only negative was that I had ordered a side of Macaroni Cheese to come with my burger and it had clearly been missed, as I had to ask for it and then it took a while to come, so obviously was then prepared after our other mains had been delivered. It was rectified and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The scones were fabulous together with lattes. Anna is so welcoming and always has a smile. We had a wonderful wonderful window table with amazing views. A go to place to meet up with friends and family

We had an issue with one meal which was not dealt with very well by the waiter but when I asked for manager the outcome was very satisfactory. We have dined here often and recommended it to many friends and we were very disappointed at first but the Manager 's actions mean we will be back. Thanks

An enjoyable lunch with old friends in pleasant surroundings. Maitresse d hotel very welcoming, however, after serving our food the waiting staff neglected to return to enquire if we needed anything else eg dessert menu or coffee nor did they clear away the used dishes and glasses until we asked them to. Perhaps more training on customer care and attention to detail would make a positive difference.

My partner and I really enjoyed our lunch and afternoon tea at the Scots Hotel today. The 3 waitresses who served us where very friendly, knowledgable, attentive, responsive and served our delicious food promptly. One of them took the time to take some lovely photos of us on my request. Thoroughly lovely experience.

Good choice of small, main and sharing plates.Food was excellent , and serving staff were efficient and pleasant. Table by window gave lovely overview of Princes St, and we enjoyed being able to chat, without intrusive music. Will definitely be back!

Great location & good service but we were expecting better food - thought Scott’s was the same as Scott’s (Troon) & Scott’s (Queensferry). It is not in the same league. Such a pity as the view over Princes Street is beautiful at this time of year.
